Though I didn't know it then, but I became a member of the Lasallian Family when I was eight years old. This was when I transferred into La Salle Brickfields Primary School in Kuala Lumpur. Then at twelve, I continued my education in Singapore in St.Anthony's Boy's School. After which, I continued my secondary education in St.Joseph's Institution till I completed my 'O' levels.
It was only while in SJI that I started to learn about what being Lasallian meant through learning about the life of the founder John Baptist De La Salle and also about the Lasallian Brothers who follow in the footsteps of the founder. This journey of discovery continued after my university education when I returned to St.Joseph's Institution to teach. While teaching my appreciation and commitment to the Lasallian Shared Mission grew. The Lasallian Spirituality is very much a guiding principle of my life. The experience that brought home to me the 'international-ness' of the Lasallian Family was my participation in the National Lasallian Leader's Convention and the Asia-Pacific Lasallian Youth Congress.
